How to unlock the quest: through conversation with Borbor.

Quest giver: Borbor (point 8 on the map).

Confirm that you are ready to depart to the natives village.

Borbor can be found near a lit campfire, to the South from the pirates beach (point 8 on the map) and meeting him is a part of a side quest called "Speak to the Native, Borbor". During the conversation with Borbor you can accept his proposition for a joint expedition to the natives headquarters, located in the central part of the island. Borbor will temporarily join your party, and after accepting his terms you will depart on your journey.

Attack the monsters that threaten Borbor's safety.

While you continue to follow Borbor in his tracks, you must be always ready to eliminate any and all nearby monsters, which you can stumble upon on your journey. As the native isn't the strongest fighter in the game, he won't be taking a direct participation in combat and you will have to protect him each time.

Note - if you don't want to threaten Borbor's safety and the risk of him dying, you can "clear" the main pathways of jungle before you embark on a joint journey.

The journey's destination.

During the journey, Borbor will want to stop for a longer while twice, first time near the waterfall (point 8a on the map), and the second time after reaching the second part of the jungle (point 8b on the map). Each time you will have to speak with him, and convince him to continue the journey. The quest is over as soon as you reach an elevation (point 8c on the map), with a rope bridge leading directly to the natives headquarters.
