Striking Arguments | Side Quests - Kila Risen 3 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
How to unlock the quest: through conversation with Colby.
Quest giver: Colby (point 7 on the map).
Colby can be found near the pirate encampment on the beach (point 7 on the map). During the conversation with the pirate, you will learn that he lost the respect of his kin. Colby wants to regain it. The Nameless Hero will be asked to compete in a honorable duel with Colby, and to lose it on purpose, for the man to prove that he is still a capable warrior.
After engaging Colby in a honorable duel (no one from your team will take part in it), you can behave in two different ways. The first variant assumes defeating Colby in a fight, deviating from his request. If you want to take this approach, you will have to be extremely careful about Colby's attacks, as they deal a tremendous amounts of damage and an inexperienced player can easily get himself killed. As always, rely on your dodges and try to parry his attack, as well as attack him from afar (ranged weapons, magic). If you manage to defeat him, you will be given 250 Glory Points.
Note - during the duel try not to attack any other bystander pirates observing the encounter. By doing this (attacking them) you can attract unwanted attention and make the fight very difficult, or even impossible.
Note - Colby is an ability trainer as well.
The second option assumes getting defeated by Colby on purpose, i.e. playing the fight his way. If you select this approach, you won't even have to attack the pirate - all you will have to do is to wait patiently for Colby to empty the Nameless Hero's health bar completely. By doing so, you will be given Rum and you will unlock another side quest called "Precious Silverware", associated with delivering Colby various treasures. .
Rewards for completing the quest:
- 250 Glory Points
- Rum
- Unlocked a side quest called "Precious Silverware" (only if you let Colby defeat you in the duel).
