How to unlock this quest: It will unlock automatically after you will find the Treasure Map.

The map is on the second floor of the tavern

Go to the town port and during the night sneak to the second floor of the tavern (map location 8). You have to use the Sneak ability otherwise you may be spotted by Pirates from this area and they will probably attack you instantly. Find the Treasure Map which you need to take. Once you will receive the map you will unlock this quest.

Notice! Before you will start your treasure hunting adventure you should be sure that you have the Shovel in your inventory. You can buy this item or find it in your travels.

The X mark is well hidden

Exit the tavern and head to the northwest. The treasure is buried between the Alvarez's building and the local graveyard (map location 8a). Find the red X mark painted on the ground and use your Shovel to dig out the treasure. Now you can open the chest and draw from it few items such as 50 gold pieces and the Iron Ore.
