The Lost Treasure | Side Quests - Kila Risen 3 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Unlocking the quest: Talk to Kamil
The quest giver: Kamil (point 19 on the map)
Note - This quest becomes available after you join the Natives!
This quest can be unlocked after you join the Natives. To do it, you need to meet Kamil. He is guarding a bridge to the Natives Village (point 19 on the map). The character will ask you to find a precious Idol, which has been stolen from the Natives. Kamil suggests you should question the pirates on the eastern beach, near the treasure hiding spot.
Note - During your conversation with Kamil, you can use Silver Tongue proficiency, if you have at least 30 points ascribed to it. As a result, you will get a Sapphire.
For this quest you have to meet four pirates on the beach; talk to them in the following order: Harry (point 6 on the map - he occasionally changes his position), Colby (point 7 on the map), and Cunningham (point 5 on the map). Each of the characters tells you that Buddy is a specialist at finding treasures.
Finally, go to Buddy, who should be somewhere by a dart board (point 3 on the map). While talking to Buddy, it is important that you mention the other three conversations (200 Glory Points). This way you will make him share the information about the location of the treasure you are after. Buddy will offer you an alternative solution of the quest, namely, to deliver the Idol to him. You do not have to make that decision right now.
Note - Before you head for a treasure hunt, make sure you have a shovel in your inventory. It can be bought or found in the game's world.
The treasure you are looking for is on a small hill on the south of the island (point 19a on the map). Start looking at the waterhole, where Asali is. Take the path that leads on the south-east and then turns to north-east. Beware, as it may be necessary to walk past a rope trap on your way (if you accidentally walk into it, at least try to quickly press the button/key marked on the screen).
The treasure hiding spot can be recognized by a huge X mark painted on the ground, as shown at the picture above. Use a shovel to dig it out (100 Glory Points). From the chest take 150 gold, an Old Letter, and the Precious Idol you were looking for.
As I noted earlier, this quest can be concluded in two ways. If you want to, you may go back to Buddy (point 3 on the map) and give the treasure to him, gaining gold in return. If you prefer to be fair toward the Natives, return to Kamil (point 19 on the map). The native will reward you with a voodoo spell.
Rewards for completing the quest:
- 200 Glory Points
- 1,000 gold (only if you gave the Idol to Buddy)
- Rebound spell (only if you brought the Idol back to Kamil)
