Recruit Eldric | Main Quests - Calador Risen 3 Guide

Way to unlock the quest: Talk to Eldric.
Quest giver: Eldric (point 2 on the map)
You can unlock this quest after you have progressed to the third chapter of the game's story line so, after you have started the "The Spirit Ritual" main quest. From druid Eldric (point 2 on the map) you will learn that the ritual can be performed by three characters with powerful magical capabilities. Eldric is a such character, but he does not agree to help you straight away. Instead, you will first have to offer him help eliminating monsters in the Eastern part of the Calador Bay.
Before you reach the den of the Shadow monsters, you will have to gain access to the Eastern part of the bay. It is inaccessible at the moment, because access to it has been blocked by the damaged bridge over lava. Listen to Eldric's plan that assumes the necessity to activate all of the teleporters around the main part of Calador, in order to form some sort of a magical net. As you probably expect, the lucky man to perform this quest is you.
Before you set out to find the teleporters, you need to make sure that you have, at least, four Teleporting Stones on you. You can find them in different parts of the game world and one stone can be used to activate any given teleporter. If you already have the stones, you can skip this step. Otherwise, you need to take a look around to find them. You can, for example, search for them at the Calador Bay, and rely on the journal to find them. The example locations of the nearby stones are:
- Fishing village
- Bran's farm
- The magic circle in the mountains, in the Northern part of the map (it is being guarded by a golem)
- The area near the cottage in the Western forest
- The windmill at Ernesto's farm
After you have obtained, at least, four stones, you can reach the teleporters (points 2n on the map) and activate them. The locations of the teleporters have been presented in the above screenshot:
- Teleporter 1 is next to castle ruins in the Western part of the bay
- Teleporter 2 is close to the huntsmen's chalet in the forest
- Teleporter 3 is near the tavern
- Teleporter 4 is next to the Demon Hunters' Citadel
After you have activated all four teleporters, return to Eldric (point 2 on the map) and tell him about that (400 Glory Points). Exhaust all of the dialogue options, thanks to which a group of demon Hunters, commanded by Eldric will be able to set out to the Eastern part of the Calador Bay. At this point, you will see several cutscenes and after that, you will appear at the newly-unlocked teleporter in the eastern part of the bay (point 2o on the map) (200 Glory Points).
Note - At any point, you can return to the areas in the central and in the Western parts of the bay. The easiest way to do that is teleport, although you can also get over the bridge, over the lava river, thanks to the Parrot Flight spell.
You need to get prepared because, right after the conversation, the will appear Minions around the teleporter. Fortunately, it is easy to eliminate the monsters, because the fights are participated by all the Demon Hunters. If you want to obtain experience points, try to eliminate them yourself. After the fight (100 Glory Points) Eldric and the other warriors go to the Northern camp (point 2p on the map). You can either join them straight away, or explore the newly found area to the South and to the East of here.
I have already mentioned that the Demon Hunters are stationed close to the teleporter (point 2p on the map). I strongly recommend that you take their help while crossing the North-Eastern part of the bay, especially that none of them should die, during the fights. After you get prepared, find Eldric and confirm that you want to head towards the nearby den of the Shadow Lord.
Along your path, eliminate all of the monsters around. These are going to be, mainly Hellhounds, Skeletons and Minions. In the case of the minions, you should especially pay attention the ones that wield magic and try to eliminate them in the first place. The route is linear and you do not need to explore the side corridors right now (you can take to it later on).
Along your path, you will run into a Lindworm and it is best if you kill it yourself to obtain 400 Glory Points. A bit ahead, there is the den of the Shadow Lord of Doubt (point 2r on the map). For obvious reasons, he is very tough but, thanks to the help from the Hunters, you do not need to fight him by yourself. Keep running a lot, dodge the Lord's attacks and wait for opportune moments to land strong blows. After you have eliminated the Shadow Lord, you will be rewarded with 600 Glory Points.
After you have killed the Shadow Lord, talk to Eldric again. He will ask you to destroy the nearby Crystal Portal (point 2s on the map) and to learn how to do that, see the walkthrough for the "The Realm of the Shadows" quest, in the chapter "Other Quests".
Return to Eldric again, after you have destroyed the portal. Wait for the druid to return to the Demon Hunters' Citadel (point 2 on the map). Meet him there for the last time, during this quest, thanks to which you will obtain Eldric for the ritual.
Note - if you have earlier joined the faction of the Natives or the faction of the Crystal Mages, do one more thing, after you have recruited Eldric. Go aboard the ship of the Demon Hunters, moored at the Calador Bay, which is commanded by Kane (point 1 on the map). During the conversation with Kane extort him to join your fleet, thanks to which you will receive 400 Glory Points.
