New Allies | Main Quests - Kila Risen 3 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
How to unlock the quest: through conversation with Bones (at any given moment).
Quest giver: Bones
As it was mentioned before in the Crab Coast's main quest section, this quest can be unlocked in any given moment of the game, and it is done through a conversation with Bones. This quest is divided into three main parts, and the one associated with the Natives can be done during your stay on the Kila Island. You need to meet with a shaman called Hirutu, who can be found in the Natives Village, in the jungle (point 2 on the map). During the conversation, offer your services in resolving the local problems to the shaman. Afterwards, Hirutu will send you to meet with Tenya.
Note - during your first conversation with Hirutu, you can use your Intimidation skill, provided that you have developed it to at least 40 points. Thanks to that, you will be given 2 Gold Ores.
You can find Tenya close to the location in which you've met the shaman (point 2a on the map). By having a conversation with her you will learn, that you can help her with gathering the resources needed to construct the Scepter of the Ancestors. Tenya will send the Nameless Hero to three stone tablets, each containing the instructions about the things that must be done in order to gather the necessary components.
Note - Tenya is also an ability trainer and a dealer.
The stone tablets are located in various parts of the jungle (points 2b on the map) and you can visit them in any order you want to. After reaching each one of them, you need to interact with it and let the Nameless Hero read the message written on it. By visiting all three of the stone tablets, the journal of the Nameless Hero will be updated with four reference points associated with the Scepter of the Ancients.
It's recommended to start off with the task requiring you to kill the panther located in the jungle. You need to get to the North-Eastern section of the jungle (point 2c on the map). Locate the panther (Strong Panther) and kill it (gaining 300 Glory Points in the process), remembering about dodging the attacks of the beast during the fight. After killing the animal, examine the body and collect it's heart (Panther Heart) (100 Glory Points).
The next task, that you must complete, is to collect the leg of a spider. To do so, you much visit a spiders cave located in the Eastern part of the island. There are two entrances leading to the cave (points 2d on the map) - one of them is in the Eastern jungle, the second is located near the pirate camp on the beach. You can choose whichever suits you more.
After entering and beginning your exploration through the cave, you must be careful of various kinds of spiders you will encounter inside of it. Your main goal is to get inside the cavern, in which the Old Jungle Spider is lurking (point 2e on the map). After engaging the huge spider in combat, remember about constantly dodging its attacks. Avoid his attempts to use his venom on your, as well as the smaller monsters, which will probably aid it in battle. After you emerge victorious (for which you will be rewarded with 200 Glory Points), examine the monster's carcass to collect its leg (Sturdy Spider Leg) (100 Glory Points).
The next trial is associated with the acquisition of a pearl (Shimmering Pearl). You have to reach a small creek located in the North-Western part of the pirates beach (point 2f on the map). The easiest way to achieve that is to simply swim there, allowing you to avoid the rocks, which would block your way if you were to try to get there by going in a straight line.
The area surrounding the pearl is guarded by a group of Water Lizards and Sand Devils, although you should have no problem eliminating such weak enemies as of now. After getting rid of the obstacle, start picking up the Shells and examine them from your inventory menu. In my case, the sought Shimmering Pearl was inside one of the shells located in the South-Western part of the creek. (100 Glory Points).
The last task you need to complete for Tenya is to locate a Huge Chuck of Jade. Remain in the creek in which you've found the pearl and go North (point 2g on the map). Enter the water and swim all the way towards the area marked on the map. You need to locate the passage between rocks, which can be seen on the above screenshot. Swim to the shore, eliminate the Sand Devil and locate the Huge Chunk of Jade (100 Glory Points).
Because you have collected all the components needed to construct the Scepter of the Ancestors, you can go back to the village and speak with Tenya again (point 2a on the map). For each component of the Scepter you will be given 200 Glory Points and 500 Gold, summing up to 800 Glory Points and 2000 Gold for all of them. Besides that, you will be given special rewards. After the meeting with Tenya is finished go back to Hirutu and inform him that you delivered the components of the Scepter to Tenya.
Note - This quest can only be completed when you have previously met Admiral Alvarez on Antigua during the main quest "Report for Admiral Alvarez". Completing this also means that you join one of the three factions (the Demon Hunters, the Natives, or the Mages), which is an IRREVERSIBLE DECISION. Joining with the Natives unlocks many new quests and activities related to this faction (e.g. buying voodoo spells), BUT you will not be able to join any other faction. Therefore, you should carefully consider that decision and choose the faction that best fits your preferred play style.
If you want to side with the Natives and you have met all the requirements (the activities described here plus meeting Alvarez), you can again talk to Hirutu the chief and confirm that you want to proceed with the rites of passage. The Nameless Hero will be accepted to the Natives and get the lowest rank of a Voodoo Pirate.
Rewards for completing the mission:
- 1000 Glory Points
- 500 gold
- 3000 Glory Points - only if you decide to join the Natives
- Scepter of the Ancestors - only if you decide to join the Natives
- Voodoo Pirate rank and new elements of apparel - only if you decide to join the Natives
