Death to the Deserters | Side Quests - Tacarigua Risen 3 Guide

Way to unlock the quest: Talk to Sebastiano.

Quest giver: Sebastiano (point 10 on the map)

You can initially confirm that you are going tom murder the deserters

Commandant Sebastiano is staying in the former house of the late governor of Puerto Sacarico (point 10 on the map) and you can gain access to him, thanks to completing the "The Commandant of Tacarigua" side quest. During the conversation, the man will also bring up the topic of deserters and will ask you to track them down, and eliminate them.

Note - The sole fact that this quest is added to your journal does not mean that you need to kill the deserters. You can cancel this quest, later on during the game, or complete it without killing the other characters.

You can either kill Vasco or let him walk

Deserter Vasco is staying in the central part of the isle (point 4 on the map). After you find him, it is best to start a conversation with him, so as to have a choice. Of course, you can attack Vasco and, in such a situation, you need to start avoiding his strong melee blows (250 glory points). An alternative solution is to spare his life, in exchange for a bribe of 200 gold pieces (250 glory points).

Note - If you are going to kill Vasco, try to complete the quest connected with him - "Vasco's Stuff" - sufficiently early.

Also, murdering Severin is not compulsory

By default, deserter Severin is staying near the path into the mountains (point 5 on the map) but, if you have already completed another quest connected with him, he may also be at the entrance to the cave with the crystal portal. Also in this case, it is a good idea to talk to him first. If you want to murder Severin you need to avoid his strong ranged attacks , by dodging, by attempting to prevent him from using his arms, with melee attacks (275 glory points). An alternative is to let Severin live and to tell him to stay in hiding (250 glory points).

Note - If you are going to kill Severin, try to complete the quest connected with him - "Menacing Shadows" - sufficiently early.

Report to the commandant

Regardless of what you did, in relation with the deserters above, you still need to return to commandant Sebastiano and report to him (point 10 on the map). Give him a full report, confirm that you have killed the deserters, or lie to him (the commandant will not realize that he is being lied to).
