How to unlock the quest: through conversation with Erasmus.

Quest giver: Erasmus (point 4 on the map)

Erasmus will ask the hero to find out what happened to one of his cadets.

A mage named Erasmus can be found on the upper floor of the main mages building (point 4 on the map), access to which you can be granted after completing the main story quest "Visiting Rights". During the somehow long conversation with Erasmus, you will learn that he send one of his cadets to the Tacarigua Island with the task to acquire a Monolith Stone. The mage will ask the hero to find out what happened to his apprentice Horas.

Note - you now need to head for the Tacarigua isle so, go now to the chapter with main quests in that location.

Horas asks you to do him a favor

After you return, with Horas, from Tacarigua, talk to the follower. He will asks you to deliver a Monolith Stone to Erasmus in his behalf.

Note - it is a good idea to exhaust all of the dialogue options, during the conversation with Horas. This will unlock a Crew quest entitled "A Friendly Turn".
