Defeat Yakov | Side Quests - Calador Risen 3 Guide

Way to unlock the quest: Talk to Yakov.

You get the opportunity to unlock this quest after you have progressed to the third chapter of the game's story line, i.e. after you have gained access to the Eastern part of the Calador Bay (the areas at the other side of the lava river). You need to reach a small cottage in the deadlands (point 19 on the map) where you meet Yakov, among others.

Note - depending on decision taken, this quest may not even appear in your journal. Still, it is not a good idea to ignore it, just because of that.

You can resolve the conflict amicably or beat Yakov

During a conversation, Yakov convinces you to buy Yakov's Lucky Spoon from him. You can spend 50 gold pieces on that. Talk to Yakov again and you will learn that you have been gypped. There are three ways in which you can react to that.:

• Attack Yakov. Only in this way, will this quest be added to your journal. Yakov is a weak opponent and for knocking him out, you will receive 300 Glory Points. You also receive a negative soul point and Yakov returns the gold to you.
• Ask Yakov to return your money. He will not object.
• Use the Silver Tongue skill, at the level of, at least, 40 points. The results are the same as in the second variant, i.e. you get your money back. The only difference is that the option to use the skill appears only if you do not ask for the gold immediately (it will become impossible later into the conversation).

Rewards for completing the quest:

• 300 Glory Points (only if you mugged Yakov)
