How to unlock the quest: through conversation with Patty.

Quest giver: Patty (point 14 on the map)

Find Patty on a small island.

Swim to a small island, located to the North from the pirates beach and find Patty there (point 14 on the map). During the conversation, ask her about Slim, the man who sold the treasure map to the siblings, and who is indirectly responsible for the death of the main character.

Note - you can skip the conversation with patty and go to Slim's place of residence.

Slim is a prisoner of the natives.

You won't have to look for Slim very far, as the man was taken a prisoner by the natives and is currently held in one of their huts in the village (point 14 on the map), waiting to be sacrificed. Speak with Slim. Regardless of the your decision - you can either save the man or let him die - you must wait before you complete a side quest called "On the Warpath), or to be more specific, until you resolve the conflict between the pirates and the natives.

You can either let Slim die or stand up for him.

After completing the side quest "On the Warpath", speak with the natives chieftain, Hirutu (point 10 on the map) and ask him about the prisoner called Slim (100 Glory Points). The chieftain will ask the Nameless Hero what to do with the prisoner. You can either let the natives sacrifice Slim (3 negative soul points), or stand up for him and rescue the man (3 positive soul points). Regardless of your decision, inform the pirate of his future (if Slim was rescued, he can be found on the pirates beach).

Note - if Patty is not currently by your side, it's worth to inform her about the whereabouts of Slim.
