The Minions' Weapons Store | Side Quests - Skull Island Risen 3 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
The way to unlock the quest: Talk to Kane.
Quest giver: Kane (point 1 on the map)
You can unlock this quest during your conversation with Kane who is staying in the camp in the central part of the isle (point 1 on the map). From Kane, you learn about the necessity to destroy weapon depots belonging to monsters. You will learn their whereabouts (they are scattered all around the Skull Island) and you will be sent to meet up with Jake.
Jake is also staying in the camp (point 1b on the map). He, on the other hand, asks you to eliminate a number of monsters gathered near the weapon depot close to the camp. This will allow the allied forces to obtain weapons, thanks to which it will be easier for them to get deeper into the island.
The monsters mentioned by Jake, are staying in close proximity of the cam, to the North-East (point 1c on the map). First of all, you will have to eliminate nine Cruel Ghouls. They are not too demanding, although it is best to eliminate them one-by-one and avoid being surrounded by more than two ghouls. Apart from that, you need to eliminate a Shadow Guardian and this is the monster that you need to watch out for the most and whose eliminating is not going to be that easy. For eliminating all of the monsters, apart from the standard Glory Points you will also be rewarded with 200 Glory Points.
You can now return to Jake (point 1b on the map) and tell him that you cut the way to the weapon depot. From now on, you will have the option to trade with Jake. Apart from that, he will allow you the choice of your reward. You can choose from:
- Sword of the Deep (the first dialogue option) - This is the best reward if you are playing as a character that fights at close quarters.
- Executor (the second dialogue option) - To This is the best reward if you are playing as a character that fights with firearms at long range.
- 2 Rain of Fire scrolls, 2 Shadow Warrior scrolls, 2 Necromancy scrolls (the third dialogue option) - This is the best reward if you are playing as a mage.
- 500 Gold Pieces (the fourth dialogue option) - I recommend against picking this reward, because the above ones are more valuable than that and even if you find no use for them, you will be able to sell them for a high profit.
You can reach the rest of the weapon depots in any order that you want. I recommend that you now go to the big canyon to the North of two towers, where you find Neron (point 1d on the map). During the meeting with Neron you will learn that mage Focalor went insane and murdered all around him. At the moment, he is staying at the local weapons depot.
After the meeting with Neron, approach Focalor (point 1e on the map). During the conversation with him, you can choose if you want to attack him straight away, ask him several questions first or use the Silver Tongue or Intimidate skill. It is worth adding that in the latter two cases, the unique dialogue options become available only if these skills are developed at least, to 50, 90 and 120 points.
If you have chosen one of the standard options to behave, this will result in a fight, where you need to deal with Focalor and two Raging Ghost (200 Glory Points). IN such a situation, I recommend that you first attack the mad mage, which will prevent him from casting powerful spells. IF you have depleted all of the dialogue options, connected with the Silver Tongue and Intimidate skills, Focalor will not attack you and, as a result, it will only be necessary to eliminate the two ghosts. If Focalor survived the fight, talk to him and receive 250 Gold Pieces from him. Otherwise, return to Neron straight away. Also from him, you may receive 250 Gold Pieces as a reward for making the local weapons depot available.
Note - from now on, you can train with Neron and trade with him.
I recommend that you now take to exploring the Eastern part of the Skull Island and find Gray (point 1f on the map) around here. From him, you will learn that there is a Shadow Lord and his minion ghosts staying in this part of the isle. It is worth adding that, if your Intimidate skill is developed to the level of, at least, 100 points, you can take advantage of that and obtain 250 Gold Pieces.
After the conversation with Gray, you can do either of two things. If you do not want to fight the ghosts, you can walk around them. The easiest way to do that is to jump over ledges next to the lava river (point 1g on the map), although you can also start to the North of the den of the Shadow Lord and head South from there.
If you have nothing against eliminating several additional monsters, a much better solution is to reach the nearby bridge over the lava river (point 1h on the map). Around, there also are Enslaved Spirit. In most cases, eliminating them is not too much of a problem, although you need to try and eliminate fast those of the ghosts that use magic. For each eliminated ghost, you will be rewarded with 75 Glory Points.
Regardless of which path you have taken, your destination is the area that Gray pointed you to (point 1i on the map), because this is where the Shadow Lord of Slavery is. During the fight with the Shadow Lord, rely on dodges and do not forget to use your best attacks. Kill the monster (600 Glory Points), collect his Raw Black Heart and return to Gray (point 1f on the map) to report to him. You will be rewarded with 300 Gold Pieces.
Note - From now on, you can trade with Gray.
Now, head towards the Northern part of the Skull Island. Locate the local named Dakila (point 1j on the map) and talk to him. You will learn that the last weapons depot is being guarded by an immortal spirit that cannot be defeated in any conventional way. Dakila Suggests that you obtain a magical item that you can chase the spirit away with.
You now need to return to Kane, i.e. the man that tasked you with the quest (point 1 on the map). Ask him if he knows any way to weaken the immortal spirit. You will learn that ha is in the possession of an appropriate amulet (Kane's Protection Amulet). There are three ways in which you can obtain this item:
- Tell him that you are a Demon Hunter -available only if you have joined that faction
- Pay 400 Gold Pieces for the amulet
- Steal the amulet - Requires Pickpocketing skill at the level of, at least, 70 points
With Kane's amulet on you (50 Glory Points) return to where you have met Dakila and go to the North a bit, to reach the ruins with the immortal spirit (point 1k on the map). Approach Asmoday and listen to the conversation with him. After it ends, a battle ensues and, in the first place, it is a good idea to attack the Asmoday's Bodyguard that is a Shadow Guardian. Only then, weaken the spirit which, thanks to the amulet from Kane can be defeated (300 Glory Points). Tell Dakila the good news and claim your reward of 200 Gold Pieces.
Since you have already secured all of the weapons depot, meet with Kane for the last time (point 1 on the map). Return the amulet to him (50 Glory Points) and report to him.
Rewards for completing the quest:
- 1000 Glory Points
- 1000 Gold Pieces
