The Price of Life | Side Quests - Calador Risen 3 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
How to unlock the quest: Through conversation with Idrico
Quest giver: Idrico (point 16 on the map).
The mage called Idrico can be found in the ruins of an old castle (point 16 on the map), which you probably already visited in your quest to kill Shadow Lord and finding grimoire (main quests from the Calador Bay). During your conversation with Idrico, you will learn about his planned incantation. The plan is to summon stronger and stronger monsters, until the one controlling them all can be summoned, and then killed. You can agree to help him with the experiment. Before you make any decisions, make sure that you're healed, because it's going to be a tough fight.
The battle consists of three different parts, and at the beginning you will have to defeat 5 beasts called El' Razax's Slave. Those creatures are very similar to Hellhounds - there's however a slight difference in the amount of enemies you have to face at once this time. If you can, try to attack those monsters one by one, especially from afar, and use the local ruins to keep away from the monsters (to heal yourself, or to use your ranged attacks without the risk of suffering any injuries). Each slain beast gives you 50 Glory Points.
The second phase of the battle throws another group of five monstrosities at you - this time El' Razax's Bodyguards. They, in turn, are very similar to Minions in their behavior and skill set. As those monsters will be trying to engage you in melee combat, focus on parrying their strikes, as well as on dodges, or try to keep them at a safe distance so you can attack them with ranged attacks and / or spells. Each one gives you 100 Glory Points.
The final phase is the big boss, El' Razax. He's a giant, and at the same time a rather mobile monster, who can easily kill you in direct combat. Try to attack the monster to attack your allies, and use the huge size of the monster against it, positioning yourself in narrow passages, in which the beast will be constantly blocked. After the fight comes to an end, speak with Idrico to get your rewards.
Rewards for completing the quest:
- 200 Glory Points
- 500 Gold
