Starfield: Unearthed - walkthrough Starfield guide, tips
In the main quest of From This Earth from the game Starfield you will visit NASA headquarters. The walkthrough from our tutorial describes how to explore the Nova Galactic station, how to get to the propulsion prototype, how to restore power, how to get the artifact and what is the choice from the meeting with the Emissary.

As a part of Unearthed story mission in Starfield, you'll have to travel to both Earth and Moon. Our walkthrough, found on this page of our guide, shows how to explore Nova Galactic Research Station, how to find the way inside the NASA Launch Tower, how to restore power to the switches, how to obtain information regarding the prototype grav drive, how to unlock access and grab the Artifact, how to escape the base, and finally possible major choices from the conversation with the Hunter and the Emissary.
- Reaching the Nova Galactic Research Station
- Exploring the base and playback of the roof recording
- Reaching NASA and finding your way to the Launch Tower
- Obtaining information about NASA
- Obtaining information about prototype grav drive
- Releasing and taking possession of the Artifact
- Leaving NASA and choice during The Emissary meeting
Reaching the Nova Galactic Research Station
- The first objective of the quest will see you visit the good 'ol Moon orbiting around Earth - visit the Sol system, travel to the Luna moon and land at the Nova Galactic Research Station marker.
- After landing at the station, find the airlock - you can open it thanks to the Key received from Starborn in the previous mission - In Their Footsteps.
Exploring the base and playback of the roof recording
- Your next task is to find Nova Galactic computer terminal. Read the second message about Project Prism Launch.
- Leave this interior and use Boost Pack to reach the tower base on the roof. You'll find a new recording in the area from the screenshot. Additionally, you now have NASA Access Code.
Reaching NASA and finding your way to the Launch Tower
- Time to leave Luna and onto the next objective. Your new destination is the ravaged Earth - you'll land at NASA Launch Tower to be exact.
- Proceed to the tower. Your destination is the elevator on one of the upper floors - you can use Boost Pack or go traditionally via new balconies and staircases.
- It turns out that the elevator button doesn't work, requiring power. Follow the cables to a locked door from the screenshot - you can open it with the Access Code obtained earlier.
- Inside, you need to place the Emergency Power Cell in the socket. The Cell is right next to the socket and if having trouble finding it, use the Scanner. The elevator will take you to NASA facility.
Obtaining information about NASA
- Proceed to the NASA research computer. Look through all logs on the computer, and you'll learn of Martian Sample.
- Explore the facility further. In the restrooms, you can find Judith - Personal Recording (screenshot).
Obtaining information about prototype grav drive
- Find the stairs that lead to lower levels of the facility. Along the way, you'll find a few switches lacking power - you either have to find power switches or look for power cells and bring them to the sockets.
- Watch out for active turrets and robots - we recommend switching to weapons that are better at destroying machines. Ultimately, you'll reach a new NASA research computer - read the logs from it.
- The next goal is to learn more about Grav Drive side effects. Reach the large shaft shown in the screenshot. Starting from here, you'll visit zero gravity locations.
- The terminal marked by the mission marker is in a locked room. You can employ a digipick to open the door or search near the stairs for a body containing the key - we show it in the screenshot. The key is used almost instantly to open the nearby door.
- Examine the final NASA research computer and read the archived logs.
Releasing and taking possession of the Artifact
- In the room with the last computer there is a large red button - pressing it will restore gravity to the NASA facility.
- Return to the previous room. You can no longer fly, so use traditional staircases to reach upper balconies. Your destination is the PSI Artifact from the screenshot - you'll be able to grab it after getting closer.
Leaving NASA and choice during The Emissary meeting
- If necessary, use the Scanner to find the exit from NASA facility easier. Don't rush the approach, as along the way you'll encounter some hostile Starborn - use good weapons, as these are quite strong level 30 enemies. Additionally, try to focus on one enemy at a time.
- After you leave the facility, The Emissary and The Hunter will wait for you not far from the Launch Tower. During the ensuing conversation, you can support one of them or decide that both are wrong. The party you didn't side with will appear as the main enemy in the finale, so if you don't choose any, you'll have to face both Starborn.
If you haven't completed Final Glimpses, now it is time to do it. Only then will the task in question be removed from the journal.
