Starfield has already landed in the hands of Premium Edition owners. The game has received very good reviews and recognition among fans. However, much discussion revolves around the technical aspects of the title. Currently, the game supports AMD's FSR 2 technology. But will FSR 3 also be introduced to the game in the future? Let’s talk about it.
What FSR 3 is
FSR 3 is a completely new technology from AMD that aims to enhance the smoothness of gaming performance. It features technology called Fluid Motion Frames. This allows for the utilization of temporal data to generate additional frames per second.
FSR 3 is intended to be available on the following graphics cards.:
- AMD Radeon serii RX 5000, 6000 i 7000;
- Nvidia serii RTX 20, 30 i 40;
- Intel Arc
- Console GPU (however, it hasn't been specified precisely which hardware is being referred to.)
FSR3 w Starfield
FSR 3 was presented last week. The rollout of this technology is expected to occur gradually. Early this autumn, it is set to arrive in two games – Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum. Over time, it will also be introduced to other titles.
At this moment, it's known that FSR 3 is intended to be available in over 300 games. The full list of these titles is a mystery, so it's uncertain whether Starfield is included. However, it's worth remembering that AMD has partnered with Bethesda. Therefore, it's highly likely that the latest AMD technology will also find its way into the cosmic sandbox. Yet, it's difficult to predict when this might happen.
