Attaching a suppressor to your weapon in Starfield isn't as obvious as it may seem. If you are one of the players who have problems with performing this action, this guide page is for you.
How to attach a suppressor in Starfield?
In Starfield, a suppressor is not just some basic item that you can simply find in the world and apply on a weapon. Instead, you have to use the services of a Weapon Workbench. It is where you get the ability to craft and attach such an implement.
Be warned however - you're going to need some specific crafting materials. The material cost varies depending on the weapon you want to attach a suppressor to. This is why you should first visit a Workbench and check the requirements for your weapon of choice. Once you have the necessary materials for a suppressor, you simply install it at the Workbench.
There is an alternative method of getting a silenced weapon, but requires some luck or money. For example, you can find an already silenced weapon at a corpse as loot, or simply buy a weapon with a silencer already attached from a merchant.
How does the suppressor work in Starfield?
As can be expected, the main use of a suppressor is to muffle shots fired from your weapon of choice. However, this is not the only advantage. With a silencer installed, the weapon accuracy also improves, making it easier to hit targets. There are downsides to a suppressor - with one installed, the effective range of your projectiles will decrease, and additionally, the weapon's weight will also increase.
