Hard Evidence is a side mission for the Crimson Fleet faction. Our soluition explains where to find all 20 proofs.

The Burden of Proof side mission involves collecting 20 recordings and delivering them to Lieutenant Toft. It will start just after you arrive at the UC Vigilance for the first time as part of the Crimson Fleet faction missions and talk with a woman there. If you deliver at least 15 pieces of evidence, you will receive a reward and support during the Legacy's End quest if you side with the UC SysDef. Below, we have listed all 20 pieces of evidence and described where to find them. You should consider that some recordings can be missed after leaving the location.

The Naeva Meetup

1. The first evidence can be found during the Deep Cover mission in Cydonia on planet Mars.
2. The recording is on the table in the Broken Spear, where Adler Kemp sits.

Carter’s Gig

1. This evidence cannot be missed, as you will get it on Suvorov as part of the Echoes of the Past quest.
2. The recording is in Carter's locker.

Warden’s Log

1. Another recording can also be found on planet Suvorov during the Echoes of the Past mission, but you can miss it.
2. The piece of evidence is on the cabinet in the warden's office. Make sure you have collected the log because you cannot return to this location on Suvorov later in the game.

Request Denied

1. The recording can be found on the Siren of the Stars ship during the faction mission Breaking the Bank.
2. You have to go to the crew habs. Go down that corridor to the very end until you reach the doors leading to the cockpit. Open the door on the right - you will enter a room with a large bed with a red blanket. The evidence lies on the high cabinet next to it.

GalBank Plan

1. You will get this piece of evidence as part of the Breaking the Bank mission on Siren of the Stars.
2. At some point during the task, you will need to talk to Gabriel Vera - after the alarm is triggered. He will give you the evidence if you pay him. You can also kill the man and pick up a recording from his corpse, but then the ship's security will attack you.

Huan’s Talk

1. You will find another piece of evidence at the beginning of The Best There Is mission on planet Jemison in the Alpha Centauri System.
2. As part of the mission, you will meet Huan at The Well in front of Kay's House in New Atlantis. Enter the pub - on the ground floor in the kitchen, you will find the evidence. It's on the cabinet opposite the gas stove.

Eubanks & Woods

1. You will also collect this recording during the mission The Best There Is.
2. At the SY-920 space station, you will meet Doctor Vogel. In the next room, you will find the evidence. It is lying on a black cart.

The Big Score

1. You can find the evidence by completing the Absolute Power mission in Neon on Volii Alpha planet.
2. Go to the back of Madame Sauvage's Place (on the ground floor). You will reach a room with a small bed and sofas. The recording is lying on the cabinet between them.

Meeting with Bayu

1. During the Absolute Power mission, you can, optionally, go to Generdyne Industries and meet with Nashida there.
2. After talking with the man, go to the room with the safe. There is evidence inside. You can also use it during the later confrontation with Ayumi Komiko.

Ayumi’s Offer

1. You can also find the next recording by completing the Absolute Power mission.
2. After you pay to get access to the Members Only Lounge at Euphorika, go upstairs. The evidence is on the cabinet behind the bartender, who stands opposite Komiko.

Request A17

1. You will find this evidence a The Key space station in the Kryx System.
2. The recording is in a binder on the desk in the room where Jasmine Durand, who service ships, works.

Voss’s Parts

1. This recording is also located at the Crimson Fleet HQ on The Key.
2. Take the elevator to the operations center. Then go upstairs. The recording is on the desk next to Delgado's computer.

Mira’s Demise

1. This evidence can be found on the ground floor of The Key space station.
2. Following the "Bunks" signs on the walls, you will reach a small room with a bed and a black device - the recording is lying on it.

Gennady Ayton

1. You need to talk to Samina at The Key station. Thanks to this, you will unlock the Doctor's Orders side quest, during which you will find another piece of evidence.
2. As part of the mission, go to the Clinic in the Narion System. The evidence is in the corner of the room where Gennady Ajton stands.

Message for Bog

1. When you talk to a man named Bog in the Last Nova bar on The Key, you will unlock the side quest Reclaiming the Past.
2. Go to the moon Decaran V-a in the Decaran System. There, in the abandoned Ecliptica garrison, find a box. The evidence is inside.

HopeTown Raid

1. This evidence can be found in the Hopetown on Polvo in the Valo System.
2. The recording is on the counter in the Pit Stop bar.

Kreet Offer

1. Another evidence is located on The Den space station in the Wolf System.
2. As soon as you enter The Den, pass the column that says "Ship Services." The evidence is on the table near the railings.

Chunks Heist

1. In the Red Mile on the planet Porrima III in the Porrima System, you will find the evidence.
2. It is lying on the bar counter.

Chiroptera

1. This evidence can be found on the landing site of the planet Gagarin in the Alpha Centauri System.
2. After landing on Gagarin, keep moving forward until you reach the bar. The evidence is on the counter.

GBLR013: Mortem Orbire

1. The final piece of evidence can be found during the main mission for the Crimson Fleet named Eye of the Storm.
2. After reaching the Legacy, head to the control center.The evidence is on the floor next to Kryx's corpse.

Completing the quest

1. For each piece of evidence you give Lieutenant Toft, you will receive money and experience points.
2. If you provide the woman with at least 15 pieces of evidence, you will be able to talk to her about her past. When you hear her whole story, she will give you a legendary pistol named Memento Mori. At this point, the mission Burden of Proof will be completed, and you will receive XP and Credits.
3. If you complete the Burden of Proof before the Eye of the Storm mission, you will receive additional aid in the fight against the Crimson Fleet in the Legacy's End quest if you choose the UC SysDef side.
