Every loss of health points brings you closer to death, so it is important to monitor your HP. In our Starfield guide, we explain how to restore health points, as well as what items are best for this purpose.
How to heal in Starfield?
You need to have items that will regenerate lost health points. If you have them in your inventory, open it and then choose the Aid tab - the items are marked with a plus. Find items that restore health. These are usually various types of meals or med packs. At the end, just double-click on the selected healing item to use it and restore your health.
You can also heal yourself while resting in bed. Sleep for a few hours to regenerate to the maximum level of health. This option will help you conserve medications, however, you will most likely use it while on a ship or in a city.
What is the best way to heal in Starfield?
It's best to heal yourself with medication and rest whenever you can. They restore a very large amount of health. The Medicine skill makes all med packs, trauma packs and emergency kits restore extra 10% HP and work 10% faster even at the first rank.
You will often find large amounts of food, but they restore little health, so it is much more profitable to invest in med packs.
Before engaging in any battle, it's worth using the Heart+ item, which not only increases the maximum health level by 20%, but also reduces received damage for a certain period of time. Thanks to it, you will save on med packs and other medicaments.
