In Starfield you will find many interesting locations, including planets, stations and other larger spaceships that you can access. Sometimes it's necessary to dock your ship in a proper place. Docking to spaceships and space stations in Starfield is very simple - you will learn how to do it in our guide.

Docking ships is a simple task, but it can be a hassle if the speed of your vehicle is too high. To successfully dock, approach a station or other facility that allows you to dock, tag the station/spaceship, and wait until you see the message "Dock." Then press X on the keyboard or controller and that's when the whole process ends. Next, you'll see a short cutscene showing the docking of the spaceship, and you can explore the location to which you arrived at.

Don't fly too fast

To dock the spaceship without any problems, reduce the speed of your vehicle, as flying too fast could cause a collision with the station. You can slow down using the S key on the keyboard or by pulling back the left analog stick on the pad. Also remember that if you are trying to board a spaceship, you must first immobilize the opponent's unit - otherwise you won't be able to dock to it.
