Starfield is the long-awaited AAA game from Bethesda, studio responsible for such hits as Skyrim or Fallout 4. In the game we will have to explore the cosmos and various planets, perform numerous tasks, collect equipment, and, of course, fight enemies. The title has many settings, on which depends, among other things, comfort during gameplay. In this guide you will learn how to change the FOV in Starfield.
FOV in Starfield
FOV stands for Field of View. It is what determines the area you will see without having to rotate the camera. For some, the default FOV may be too small. If you want to change its value, do the following:
- Go to Documents, then My Games, then Starfield.
- Create a file named StarfieldCustom.ini
- Later, paste the following text into it:
[Camera].
fFPWorldFOV=x
fTPWorldFOV=x
The x in this case should be a value of your choice. To start with, it is a good idea to enter 100. If the FOV is too small or too large, adjust it to suit your needs.
FOV in Starfield after launch
You perform the above action at your own risk. On the day of release Starfield does not have an FOV setting in the game options, but it is possible that it will receive it after one of the patches. So if the default FOV doesn't particularly bother you, it's better to wait for an update.
