Starfield leaves the player with a multitude of main and side missions to complete, so naturally a question arises whether the game has randomly generated missions. On this page of our Stargield guide, we will try to answer this question.

Are there random missions in Starfield?

When it comes to main or faction missions, every player will have the same experience. However, in case of some side activities that find their way to Activity tab, these may be randomly generated. The same applies to activities from the Mission tab, which are initiated through the Mission Boards, found in all major cities. Usually, the objectives of such quests are chosen from a finite group of possibilities (e.g. destroy a certain type of ship) with quests taking the players to different locations.

To answer the question soundly - yes, in Starfield there are randomly generated missions, however, these types of activities are minor quests that won't push the story forward or improve the player's standing with factions.
