General subtitles
In Starfield, you can turn on or off the subtitles that appear while exploring the game world. This refers to conversations led in the background and which are not necessarily directed at the player. If you disable this option, you will not see subtitles from side conversations and chats.
Dialogue subtitles
This option affects all lines spoken by the characters, therefore, if you turn it off, you will not see any subtitles from the dialogue.
Item rotation
Changes the way you rotate items e.g. in the inventory. The first option is to hold the button and rotate with the mouse/knob, the second is to click once and rotate the object.
Toggle ironsights
Turns on the ability to aim with a weapon by toggling (the button) or holding down.
Large menu fonts
One of the more useful options, especially if you're playing on a small screen. Displays larger fonts where it's possible. This option can only be changed in the main game menu.
Difficulty levels
There are 5 difficulty levels to choose from in Starfield:
- very easy;
- easy;
- normal;
- hard;
- very hard.
Difficulty levels affect the damage (both dealt to and received from enemies) and the chance of encountering legendary enemies.
Is there an aim assist in the game?
There is not any aim assist option in the game. This applies to both the PC and console versions.
