Friends Like These is another quest in the UC Vanguard questline. On this page of our guide, we show how to successfully confront Evangeline Radcliffe, how to explore Va'Ruun embassy, and finally how to conclude the mission, which means becoming a UC citizen.

Initiating the mission (New Atlantis)

  1. In UC headquarters in New Atlantis (Jemison planet, Alfa Centauri system) talk to Elisabeth Macintyre. The woman can be found in a room at the end of the Cabinet Chambers floor.
  2. Ride the elevator to the lobby and proceed to the Freestar Embassy in MAST district.
  3. There , talk to Evangeline Radcliff .

Convincing Ambassador Radcliffe

You can gain access to the Archive right away if you manage to Persuade Radcliff - Starfield: Friends Like These - walkthrough - Faction - UC Vanguard - Starfield Guide

You can gain access to the Archive right away if you manage to Persuade Radcliff. If you fail, then:

  1. Talk to the man named Cameron Long. You can convince him to cooperate by spending credits, a right dialogue option (Diplomacy) or via a lie.
  2. With Cameron convinced, travel to the room in the front area of the embassy and open it with the received key. You have to climb the boxes, cross the ventilation shafts and take the listening device from the flowerpot.
  3. With the listening device, confront Radcliff. You can simply order her to lead you to the archives, but by asking for a gift, you'll receive a weapon, and when asking for payment, you'll receive 7000 credits.

Alternatively, you can go visit the archives alone. All you have to do is after the conversation with Radcliffe, hide and pickpocket the necessary key. However, for this, you need to have sufficient Theft.
