Key Ingredient is the Ryujin quest from the Starfield game of finding a supply of rotycite for Veena. The tutorial in our guide explains how to search the CM RC-1 station on Carrinae and where to find the rotycite at the Clinic space station.

Key Ingredient is the name of one of the tasks in Starfield initiated deeper into the Ryujin industries plotline. On this page of our walkthrough, we show the process of investigating the CM RC-1 station on Carrinae, how to unlock the secure wing in the Clinic station, and how to steal the Rothicite shipment from Infinity LTD.

Meeting with Masako and Veena

1. To get access to this mission, you need to complete Guilty Parties quest first - walkthrough for it can be found on the previous page of the walkthrough.
2. The meeting with Masako will take place in Veena's office. To find it, you'll need to use the elevator to travel to the R&D floor. During the meeting, you'll learn about new Ryujin technology being developed and an ingredient needed for it. Camden will give you an access card to the station.

Journey to Carrinae III-A and finding a Rothicite shipment

1. Your destination is moon Carrinae III-A, located in a remote Carrinae system. If a direct grav jump is impossible, make a few shorter jumps. Land on the surface of the moon near CM RC-1 station.
2. It turns out that there are hostile mercenaries in the station. Eventually, you'll reach an elevator leading to the mine.
3. Continue through the mine and defeat mercenaries that appear. In the last room, there will be an operator to deal with. On his body, you'll find Contract Orders - find them in your inventory in Notes tab. Alternatively, you can also examine the console, but checking the orders in your inventory will update the mission.

Finding a way into the secure wing of The Clinic

Return to your ship and travel to Narion system. In the orbit of Deepala, there is The Clinic station, and you can dock there without problems (get as close as 500 meters to it).

The entrance to the secure wing is guarded by a sentry. You can:

1. Use Persuasion - a successful skill check will convince the man to let you in.
2. Sneak through - this may be difficult, as the man stands right next to the door.
3. Apply Deception - talk to Ari Miller regarding the entrance to the secure wing. You will learn about Doctor Osian. Mention her during the next conversation with the sentry or give him a sample of Aurora.

Investigating Infinity LTD activities in the Clinic

1. Rothicite shipment is on the table in Dr. Kendrick Lane's office, but taking it without additional steps will make all inhabitants of The Clinic hostile to you.
2. After entering the room, you'll be stopped by Sean - lie that you're sent by Infinity LTD or use Persuasion.
3. When talking to Kendrick Lane, you can again lie that you're from Infinity LTD and you're taking the rothicite. This way you can pick up the shipment without alarming everyone.

Returning to Veena in the Ryujin skyscraper

1. Leave The Clinic, return to your ship and travel to Neon. In the Ryujin skyscraper, travel to the R&D floor and talk to Veena and give her the rothicite.
2. A conversation with Masako will also start and you can tell her about the CM RC-1 station and the activities of Infinity LTD in the Clinic. Your reward will be XP, 4800 credits, 2 medkits, 2 digipicks, and also Sabotage quest will be initiated.
