During the exploration of the world in Starfield, you are sure to come across many objects that can be moved. A similar option was also available in Skyrim and Fallout 4. It's worth knowing that this isn't just a fun fact, because sometimes this mechanic is very useful during combat.
When you find the object you want to move or shift, hover over it with the cursor and hold down the E key on your keyboard or X on the controller. It's good to mention that some heavier items may be harder to move. Why bother doing it though? Starfield is a sandbox, so you can have fun in many ways, for example by arranging items on tables to make them look aesthetic. However, this isn't all, as moving objects is useful in battle.
Why move objects in Starfield?
Sometimes you will come across objects that can explode when you shoot at them. An example is the oxygen container above. You can move several such items to one place, lure the enemy and shoot the containers once the enemy is close to them. Obviously, these aren't the only items that can come in handy during combat. Go ahead, fight battles, move objects and use your creativity.
