Final Glimpses is the main quest from the game Starfield of obtaining 2 artifacts. From the walkthrough in our guide you will learn how to get a better gravitron drive and how to reach Freya III, among others.

During Final Glimpses story mission from Starfield, your task will be to find and obtain two artifacts. Our walkthrough shows how to install a more powerful grav drive that allows longer jumps, and how to visit the systems hiding the sought artifacts.

Returning to the Lodge and talking to Vladimir

1. This is one of the quests initiated after meeting the Emissary and the Hunter during In Their Footsteps story quest - view the dedicated page for the walkthrough.
2. Your first task will be to return to the Lodge in New Atlantis. Talk to the members of the Constellation about the meeting with the Starborn, and then, talk to Vladimir. You'll receive the locations of 2 new artifacts.

Preparing for the task - better grav drive

1. Both artifacts are hidden in remote systems. The problem here is that the default grav drive is insufficient. You need a drive with a range of at least 21 LY.
2. There are two ways of overcoming this obstacle. The first involves buying a better spaceship. It can be the Shieldbreaker ship that we recommended on the page Best spaceships, or any other that meets the requirements. Make sure that the grav jump range is 21 or more (22 in the example from the screenshot) before buying the ship.
3. Remember that in order to fly larger ships, you need developed Piloting. We show good and fast methods of improving this skill on How to easily increase Piloting? page of our guide.

1. The second involves equipping Frontier (starting ship, or any other) with a different grav drive. For this, when visiting a Ship Services Technician (e.g. the one near the landing pad in New Atlantis) choose the Shipbuilder menu.
2. You can choose any drive you see fit, just make sure that the jump range has increased to 21 or higher.

Reaching Freya III

1. Thanks to the new grav drive, you can now reach Freya system and planet Freya III.
2. The first thing you'll do after reaching the system will be responding to the satellite distress signal (screenshot above) This will initiate a separate story quest (Entangled) which involves retrieving the artifact from Freya III - we describe it in a separate page of the walkthrough.

Reaching a random planet and finding the artifact

1. The second artifact is in a random outpost on the world map. You have to land at the destination, reach the facility, defeat/sneak past enemies, and go inside.
2. Your destination is a cave containing the artifact and remember that as often it is with this type of location, a single Starborn will guard the treasure. You need to defeat him and only then break rocks to collect the artifact.
3. After getting both artifacts (from Entangled quest and the one from a random planet), the described task will end. Your rewards will be, among other things, Refined Constellation Space Suit and credits.
