Operation Starseed is a side mission in which you will learn about the history of clones of famous characters. Below you will learn how to start the mission and what is involved in helping each alliance.

Journey to the Crucible
- Operation Starseed will be unlocked when you travel to the Charybdis system.
- At the Crucible outpost on the planet Charybdis III, talk to Tobias and Ada.
- Meet Franklin - he'll give you information about the clones.
- When you leave the building, Wyatt will stop you. After talking to him, go to Amanirenas and Genghis Khan - the leaders of two societies.
- When you reach Genghis, you'll first have to defeat the opponents attacking him.
- After talking to the two leaders, return to Franklin.
Clues in the Base
- You have to go to the Base on Charybda III. Look for the seven clues there.
- The clues are pages from a diary that lie on tables, cabinets, or the floor. Gather them and watch out for the opponents in the Base.
- You'll get to the last clue through a narrow tunnel. The diary will be lying on the counter. Watch out, as there is an extremely menacing opponent in this room. If you can, defeat him. But if you have a problem with him, try to avoid him, take the clue, and leave the base.
- You don't have to go back the same way you came. In the last room, go up the stairs, open the door with the computer, and you'll come to the surface.
Choosing a side
Return to the Crucible. You must decide which societies you'll help and pass on the notes to. The choice will matter in the further part of the quest.
- The leader of the Believers is Amanirenas. According to her society, the most important thing is the Mission, and its members will leave the Crucible after fixing the robots.
- Genghis Khan's attitude is more radical. The Renegades aim to destroy everything - the Base and the Crucible - before departing from the planet. They consider everything a lie.
- The Pragmatists, led by Franklin, are dependent on the robots from the Base and want to take power themselves.
Access code from Beagle
- Regardless of your decision, talk to Ada and then go to the Bel system.
- Fly to the beacon and scan the frequency.
- Dock to the Beagle ship in the Zelazny system. You must have a high rank in Astrodynamics or a good gravity drive to get there.
- Watch out for the turrets and robots, go to the end of the ship, open the computer and download the access code.
- Leave the Beagle and return to the Crucible to speak with the leader of the society you are helping.
Fight in the Crucible
- If you have allied yourself with Pragmatists or Believers, you'll learn that this alliance may be attacked by Genghis or Amanirenas.
- If you help the Renegades, it'll turn out that either Franklin or Amanirenas wants to attack the alliance.
- No matter what decisions you make when talking to the different parties, a fight will ensue anyway. However, you can persuade a leader who doesn't declare war to cooperate.
- You must eliminate the enemy leaders or just one of them (if you have persuaded him or her).
- After the fight, go to the leader of the alliance you are helping.
Completing the quest
- Talk to Ada and go to the Base again. Go to the very end of the Base, watching out for enemies along the way. Approach the computer - you'll have to choose one of the three restart options. The choice is about what will happen to the clones.
- If you choose the first option, nothing will change on the Crucible, and the quest will end after you make a decision. You'll receive XP and credits.
- If you activate a full project cleanse, all clones will die. The mission will end immediately after the choice is made. You'll receive XP and credits.
- You can choose a new super-admin. Then return to the given leader, and the quest will end. You'll receive XP and credits.
- Remember to collect the key from the desk and exit the Base quickly through the back door.
