You'll receive this quest from Captain Slayne [#1] the moment you complete the Ship's Equipment. After talking to the pirate, go to Patty [#2] to tell her where the Isle of Thieves is. A new location will appear on your map. Your goal is to sail there and meet with Slayne.
When your ship arrives at its destination, get to the lifeboat and sail for the shore. There, meet with the pirate. At this moment, the quest ends.
