Shaganumbi Idol Found | The Sword Coast - Quests

This quest is part of: Free Tahana

The quest is completed automatically when you find the Shaganumbi idol, a precious item valued by the tribe and sought for by Tahana. The idol lies by a tree [#1] at the road leading to the Natives' Graveyard [#2]. You can pick it up at any point in the game, thought it's not recommended.

You can learn about the idol from Tahana himself [#3] after you've helped him escape the Inquisition's Tower (see: Free Tahana) and moved to a safe distance [#4] (see: Escape from the Tower). The savage will guide you to where he had discarded the idol, which concludes the Shaganumbi Idol Found quest.

The idea is simple: don't take the idol until you've freed Tahana from prison.

The situation will change entirely if you find the idol before freeing the native. In this case, Tahana won't mention the idol at all, and after completing the Escape from the Tower quest you'll go straight to the Through the Jungle mission. Shaganumbi Idol Found will be completely omitted, and what's more, the idol will stay in your inventory for the rest of the game. It's probably a bug in the game.
