Basil is Dead! | The Sword Coast - Quests Risen 2 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
This quest cannot be activated in a regular way, that is by talking to an NPC. It will be automatically completed after you eliminate Basil [#1], the chieftain of the pirates from the fort in the south-west part of the island. You'll have a perfect opportunity to kill him during a walk to the city with Venturo (see: Follow Venturo to the Temple). It's perfect because the Inquisitor will suggest paying a visit and to the keep and shoot its defenders himself.
There are two possible ways to get inside: not just by the front gate, but also by a hole in the palisade [#2]. The choice has no effect on the battle. What has, though, is whether you do the raid with the Inquisitor, or without. Killing the enemies with Venturo at your side will, of course, be easier. Basil is not a challenging opponent and neither are his Pirate buddies.
Note! If you decided to raid the keep during the quest Follow Venturo to the Temple and chose the aggressive variant, after the execution of the pirate Venturo will wait for you near the ledge [#2], the same that helped you reach the hole in the palisade. In the following conversation with Venturo you'll be able to agree to the trip to Puerto Isabella again. If so, an additional quest will be triggered: Follow Venturo to the City.
Rewards:
- 50 Glory points for completing the mission;
- 75 Glory points for killing Basil;
- 50 Glory points for each Pirate killed.
