Settling the Score with Hank | Tacarigua - Quests Risen 2 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Quest giver: Hank [#1]
This quest is part of the: Become a Pirate
Go to the pirates' camp and enter Booze's tavern, the only joint in the area. Right next to the bar you can find Hank [#1], a harmless - you'd think - type, who in fact is a common thug. You can learn about his foul intentions from Holly, a prostitute hanging around the tavern. One simple word with the girl is enough to draw the man's attention.
Depending on how long your conversation with Holly lasts, Hank will accost you either in the tavern, or outside, right by the door. For a chat with "his" subordinate, the pimp will demand 100 Gold. If you agree to pay, the Nameless Hero will give him the money and that will be the end of it. If you refuse, though, Hank will try to change your mind by force, automatically triggering a new quest.
In order to complete the mission, you have to beat the living daylights out of your opponent. It's not particularly difficult since Hank isn't a challenging foe. When you win, he will recognize your superiority and go about his business.
A few things to sum up:
- Challenging Hank is part of the Become a Pirate missions and has a large influence on how your character is assessed by Steelbeard [#2]. In truth, you don't really need to fight him. It's enough to the Captain that you engaged in a conflict with the thug, not that you beat him up. If the Nameless Hero pays to keep the peace, Steelbeard won't mind.
- If you provoke the fight and lose it, Steelbeard won't mention the conflict until you've talked to Hank one last time. During that conversation the pimp will take the 100 Gold, but leave you in peace in return. The quest will be of course automatically cancelled, but Steelbeard will keep it in mind while considering your candidature for a pirate.
- Having lost the fight, Hank will stop paying any attention to whether you talk to Holly or not. You're free to talk to the prostitute at will.
Rewards:
- 100 Glory points for completing the mission;
- 50 Glory points for defeating Hank.
