Pirate Triathlon with Morgan | Antigua - Quests Risen 2 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Quest giver: Morgan [#1]
In order to hire Morgan [#1] to work on Captain Slayne's ship (quests: Ship's Equipment and The Helmsman), you'll have to defeat him in a series of three competitions. The first is to chastise him in a conventional fight, the second to win the drinking contest, and the third - to shoot seven bottles at the shooting range. These competitions are commonly known as the "pirate triathlon". To complete the quest you have to win at least three.
Fighting with blades is something you should be well familiar with, so defeating Morgan shouldn't be too much of a problem. Don't underestimate him, though, because he knows a wide variety of moves and skills which can do some serious damage. The best tactic to apply here is to parry before counterattacking.
The second stage of the competition is the drinking contest. This shouldn't be a problem either - reach for the bottles (hold them at the neck), but don't shake the hand too much. The view will become more blurry with each gulp, and the hand will react to your movements with more delay. Nevertheless, Morgan isn't too much of a drinker, so you'll be alright.
The last task before you is to shoot down seven objects the pirate will throw for you (you have only 10 bullets). Try not to hit the bombs, and be quick and precise. This is the hardest competition of the three, but if you don't succeed, it's enough to win the other two. When it's all over, talk to Morgan about it - if you've managed to best him, the quest will be completed (as will The Helmsman mission).
Note! The reward for winning two competitions is the same as for winning all of them. If you lose, don't worry - you can do the triathlon any number of times.
Rewards:
- 100 Glory points for defeating Morgan in the fight;
- 200 Glory points for completing the quest.
