Paws for Zaalu | Maracai Bay - Quests

Note! This quest is only available to those players who on the Sword Coast have joined the Natives!

Quest giver: Datu [#1]

This quest is part of: Chaka Datu's Legacy

Having gained the favor of Zaalu [#2] and eliminated his apprentice (see: Get Rid of Potaka), talk to the village's chieftain - Datu. He'll give you the present quest in which you have kill The Black Hunter (Panther) and obtaining its Paws. To do this, talk to you patron and follow him to the beast's lair (see: Follow Zaalu, and then Follow Zaalu Through the Jungle).

The Black Hunter isn't much different from a Panther.

When you arrive at the location [#3], the future chieftain will tell you to go inside the cave and scare the animal away. You can of course do it, but it doesn't pay off - if you don't kill the beast yourself, you won't get Glory points for it (only for completing The Black Hunter quest). It's better to kill the cat with your own hands (or your companions'), and then bring The Black Hunter's paws to Zaalu. This is when the mission ends. You've completed the first trial that will make Zaalu the chieftain of the Maracai, so go back to the village and continue the Chaka Datu's Legacy quest. If you suggest to go together with the Native, you'll receive the Back to the Village with Zaalu quest.

Rewards:

• 200 Glory points for completing the quest;
• 200 Glory points for killing The Black Hunter.
