Basil's Chest | The Sword Coast - Quests

A simple quest activated and completed automatically after emptying the chest belonging to the pirate Basil. You can find the chest in the south-west part of the island in the fort taken over by pirates [#1].

If you want to loot the chest without letting the pirates know of your presence, don't go through the front gate but use the nearby ledges [#2] to climb the palisade. The chest, unguarded, is in a small room you can reach by the left stairs. While exploring Basil's hideout, try to avoid the guard patrolling the area on a predetermined route.

Basi's chest is not closed, so you won't have any trouble looting it.

Naturally, sneaking up inside the pirates' fort has its charms, but keep in mind that there aren't any additional bonuses for that. The best possible solution is to get rid of everyone inside before getting your hands on the chest. You can read about the forceful solution in the Basil Is Dead! quest description.
