Hidden Lookouts | The Sword Coast - Quests Risen 2 Guide

Last update: 11 May 2016

This quest is part of: The Natives - Hidden Lookouts - The Sword Coast - Quests - Risen 2: Dark Waters - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This quest is part of: The Natives

The quest is both activated and completed when you get rid of a small group of enemies residing in a cave far to the north [#1]. You can do it at any point in the game or, as the writers intended it, according to the script, which is during the trip to the natives' village with Steelbeard and Patty (see: The Natives).

The cave consists of one large corridor - you can find the enemies at the end. They are represented by two Hunters and a Pirate - the former will attack you from a distance, while the latter will test you in melee combat. The narrow location causes some trouble moving around, but despite the unfavorable conditions the fight shouldn't be too much of a problem. The key is not to let the savages shower you with you spears while you're taking care of the cutthroat.

The eliminated enemies have some valuable items on them, so don't forget to search their corpses. A few things are also scattered around the cave. If you don't have the Map of the Storm Coast, take a look at the closed chest - difficulty level: 30.

It's harder to fight in the narrow corridor, but a skilled shooter can deal with his enemies under any conditions. - Hidden Lookouts - The Sword Coast - Quests - Risen 2: Dark Waters - Game Guide and Walkthrough
It's harder to fight in the narrow corridor, but a skilled shooter can deal with his enemies under any conditions.

To sum up, two things which may prove useful if you've entered the cave during The Natives quest:

  • Instead of fighting in the narrow corridor, you can always lure the enemies outside [#2] - when Steelbeard and Patty see the approaching enemies, they will immediately jump into the fight. This solution comes at a price, though. If either of your companions kill a foe, you won't receive any Glory points for it! The reward goes to whomever delivered the killing blow.
  • During the attack you can use Patty's help without worrying about a possible loss of Glory points. How? It's simple. First, locate the enemies' camp (it's tantamount to completing The Cave at the Pass quest), and then report back to Steelbeard. The pirate will continue on his way and the girl will join your party. With her at your side, go back to the cave. Patty will help you deal with the enemies and the Glory points will land on your account.

Rewards:

  • 100 Glory points for completing the quest;
  • 50 Glory points for killing the Pirate;
  • 50 Glory points for each Hunter killed.
