Quest giver: Ranapiri [#1]

You receive this quest from a hunter named Ranapiri, who can be found in the Shaganumbi village. He'll ask you to seek out a monster - if you defeat it, you'll prove yourself worthy to the tribe, and thus open the possibility of trade and training. It's recommended to complete this quest, especially since you can combine it with two other ones.

Direct combat isn't a good idea - try the shotgun.

Leave the village and go down to the river. If you talk to Natsumi [#2], she'll ask you to defeat the Alligator and retrieve three packages (see: The Evil Spirit of the River and Natsumi's Bag of Herbs). Both quests are closely connected with the present one because you have to kill the reptile to recover the bags anyway. The beast can be found a little to the east of the scared woman [#3]. Once it's slain, report back to Ranapiri to get your reward.

Rewards:

• 100 Glory points for completing the quest;
• 200 Glory points for defeating the Alligator;
• Trade with Ranapiri;
• Training from Ranapiri (he's a Hunter).
