The Black Hunter | Maracai Bay - Quests Risen 2 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
This quest is part of: Chaka Datu's Legacy
The companion who will accompany you during this quest depends upon the faction you're sided with. If you chose the Natives, you'll travel with Zaalu, and as an Inquisitor you'll support Hakeke.
After you've gained the trust of either Zaalu or Hakeke [#1] and eliminated their apprentices (see: Get Rid of Potaka or Get Rid of Daiki), talk to the chieftain of the village - Datu [#2]. He'll give you the Paws for Zaalu quest (or Paws for Daiki), in which you have to kill the Black Hunter and collect his Paws. To do it, talk to your patron and let him take you to the lair of the beast (see: Follow Zaalu, and then Follow Zaalu Through the Jungle, or... same with the other guy).
When you're at the spot [#3], the future chieftain will order you to enter the cave and scare the animal away from it. You can of course do it, but there's little profit in it - if you don't kill the beast yourself, you won't receive Glory points for it (only for completing the quest). It's much better to kill the cat with your own hands, which automatically ends the mission and guarantees a bigger reward.
If you want to complete Paws for Zaalu (or Paws for Hakeke) immediately, cut the Paws of the Black Hunter, and hand them to the Native.
Note! The Black Hunter appears in the cave only after activating the Paws for Zaalu or Paws for Hakeke quest. You won't find it there otherwise.
Rewards:
- 200 Glory points for completing the quest;
- 200 Glory points for killing the Black Hunter.
