Chaka Datu's Legacy | Maracai Bay - Quests Risen 2 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Quest giver: Datu [#1]
There are two ways to complete this quest, depending on which faction you've joined on the Sword Coast. The majority of its plot is identical - the only difference is that you serve a different patron (supporters of the Natives will favor Zaalu [#2], members of the Inquisition - Hakeke [#3]).
The beginning of the quest is the same in both cases - talk to your future patron and get rid of their opponent (see: Get Rif of Potaka or Get Rid of Daiki). When you do it, speak to Datu and ask him for three trials. This is when the quest Paws for Zaalu (or Paws for Hekeke) activates. Regardless of the faction, the goal will be the same - killing the Black Hunter together [#4] (see: The Black Hunter). The paths of both candidates will part after it's dead.
If you have sided with the Inquisition, you need to support Hakeke in his hunting skills trial (see: The Four Feathers). You need to collect all four feather left by Kenan. Bring your companion, then, and take a stroll through the jungle where all feathers are scattered ([#5], [#6], [#7], [#8]). When you have them, talk to Kenan [#9], then Hakeke, and report back to Datu.
If you have sided with the Natives, you'll need to possess Zaalu's body with a voodoo doll (see: Zaalu's Voodoo Doll), and answer Datu's riddles (see: The Three Questions). The correct answers are: darkness, time and nothing.
Regardless of the chosen side, the final round will always look the same - you'll need to face your rival's representative on a special arena [#10] (see: Duel with Zaalu's Halmak or Duel with Hakeke's Halmak). When the foe is down, simply report back to Datu. This is when the quest ends and you receive a reward from your patron (Tek Shaballa or Corrientes' thunderstick), as well as from the chieftain (a legendary item - Skull of Death).
Rewards:
- 200 Glory points for completing the quest;
- Skull of Death;
- Tek Shaballa;
- Corrientes' thunderstick.
