Last update: 04 August 2023
Humans are the most numerous and common race inhabiting Faerun. Although they lack the unique skills of other races, they make up for it thanks to their stubbornness and ability to adapt to any conditions. And although the idea of playing as an "ordinary" person may seem unattractive in the context of a world full of magic and fantastic creatures, human heroes can often surprise despite their apparent simplicity.
Basic stats and race abilities
After leaving early access, BG3 abandoned the mechanic of adding bonuses to stats depending on race. From now on, every player can choose a +1 and +2 bonus to any stat, regardless of race. This means that choosing a race will mainly influence the appearance of your character and the presence of appropriate race abilities.
Base race speed: The distance you can travel each turn is 9 meters.
Civil Militia
The great versatility of humans living in the dangerous world of Faerun has resulted in members of this race being highly proficient in using a wide range of weapons and armor.
Humans are skilled in spears, pikes, halberds and glaives. In terms of armor, they can use light armor and a shield.
Human versatility
The flexibility of the human race means that when creating a human hero, you can choose an additional skill in which you will gain proficiency.
Additionally, your lifting capacity is automatically increased by 25%.
Best class for a Human
In the BG3 universe, Humans will fit any class. Flexible racial abilities and the bonus additional proficiency make representatives of this race suitable for any role.
