Traveling with Minthara as an active party member in Baldur's Gate 3 is an interesting choice for a player who wants to play as an "evil" hero. This page shows how to gain approval and kindle a romance with this devout follower of Absolute.
Note! The page may contain minor spoilers regarding the plot.
How to unlock a romance with Minthara?
- You will meet Minthara in act 1 as one of the leaders of a group of goblins planning an attack on the Druid Grove. You can find her in Blighted Village. Although for many players that allied with tieflings, the paladin will be an enemy to defeat, choosing the side of the believers of Absolute will allow you to get acquainted with the woman.
- After successfully attacking the Druid Grove and eliminating its defenders, you'll be able to invite Minthara to a camp party celebrating the success and thus interact with her. If you expressed your desire to consume the relationship, a cut scene depicting a passionate night with the elf will be played.
Note! The goals and motivations of Minthara strongly oppose the values that guide most of the other companions. Joining the goblins will be met with serious disapproval from most companions, and heroes like Wyll and Karlach may leave the party permanently.
- The same night when you've consumed your relationship, Minthara will sneak up to you to kill the player character. If you manage to convince her of your utter devotion to the Absolute, the elf will spare your life and foretell that you'll meet again.
- You will meet Minthara again in the Moonrise Towers. Here, she is a prisoner being interrogated and tried, but you can help her free herself from chains and escape her captors. If you succeed, the Paladin will offer help, joining the companion pool.
- During further adventures, you'll be subjected to new conversations and interactions with her, but the romance option won't offer any significant sequences or turning points.
- In the end, lets remind the players of what Minthara prefers. This fervent devotee of the Absolute values devotion to faith, as well as being in agreement with her ideals and plans. The companion will disapprove cowardice or lack of loyalty to Absolute.
