On this page of our guide to Baldur's Gate 3 you can find key information about fast travel and how it works in the game. Fast travel will help you move around the game world much faster.
Ancient Rune Circle
- BG3 does not allow you to move anywhere on the map via fast travel, but only to designated and unlocked fast travel points called Ancient Rune Circles.
- New Rune Circles can be found while exploring the game world - see the picture. They are also marked on the map. You have to approach the Ancient Rune Circle to activate it and add to the list of potential fast travel points.
How to activate fast travel?
- Fast travel is free and you don't have to use any resources. It is mainly useful for returning to previously visited locations to resume or complete a quest.
- You can fast travel by pressing the button next to the mini-map in the top right corner of the screen.
- A fast travel points list will appear on the screen. Choose the location you want to travel to.
- The list includes all unlocked Rune Circles as well as the party camp. Return there to meet with allies, take a long rest, or put items in the chest.
We described all the most important uses of the camp on the Party camp page.
