This page of our Baldur's Gate 3 guide explains how to heal the main characters. We have outlined several different methods of restoring hit points, including those available from the very beginning of the campaign.
Potions and food
- The game features plenty consumable healing items. These include different potions (healing potion pictured above) and food.
- Players can also heal during combat, not only while exploring. Food and potions can be used as a Bonus Action.
Healing spells
- Many spells also have healing effects. We recommend having at least one healer in the party.
- Above, we've pictured the Healing Word spell, a healing spell available for clerics, druids and bards.
Special skills
- Some special skills also have healing effects. One example is Second Wind, pictured above.
- Second Wind is a Bonus Action. It's reusable, but the team must take a short rest to use it again.
Rest
- After every major battle, you should rest.
- You can choose a short rest or set up camp for a long rest and to use sleep options.
Restoration Station
- During the prologue on the Nautiloid ship there's one more way you can heal. There are special Restoration Stations on the ship.
- We've pictured one such station above. Interacting with it fully heals your entire party.
