STALKER 2: How to heal?

In STALKER 2 it's very easy to lose your entire health bar, forcing you to repeat everything from your last save. On this guide page, we explain how to heal, how to search for healing items and how to use food. It may seem simple, although some aspects of it are not that obvious. The only things you really need are a first aid kit, bandages, sausages or canned food. All of these items can restore your missing health. However, some of them are better at it.

First aid kits and bandages

A first aid kit will be the best choice when it comes to replenishing a large amount of health quickly. However, if you are going to be bleeding and losing health constantly, it is better to use bandages. The catch is that the bandages themselves, while they do remove the bleeding status, won't restore much health.

Food

Food is perfect for restoring a small amount of health in your free time. Food is also much more common than healing items, so feel free to use it unless you're fighting an enemy. It's always worth putting aside at least some of the food so as not to starve.

Resting

Resting is also an excellent way to restore all your missing health for free, without using up valuable resources. However, beds can be found only in settlements, so this solution is highly situational, but still worth considering if you are returning from a tough expedition.

Medics

There is also the option of meeting a doctor. You will usually find them in camps that are scattered throughout the Zone. All you need to do is find one of them (first aid symbol) and talk to him, then choose the option that heals you. A medic will do it completely for free. He will only refuse if he notices that you are in perfect health.
