STALKER 2 is a game in which you traverse a large, open world, where danger awaits at every corner (even in the multiplayer mode). There are just as many threats as there are missions in the Zone. A lot of people are willing to ask you to do something for them. The great number of side quests, such as Nightingale's Hunt, will not only allow you to get rich quicker, but also to discover the history of side characters. The catch is that, in the case of the mentioned quest, this can be problematic due to a bug. In this article, you will find out about the difficulties in finding the collar of the mutant dog.

STALKER 2 – Why you can’t Find Collar in Nightingale's Hunt Quest

Keep in mind that developers are working hard to fix all bugs. It means that at the moment you are reading this text, the issue might be fixed.

Nightingale is an NPC in Zalissya, offering the side quest Nightingale's Hunt, which, at least for the moment, can be completed, but not in a straightforward way. And this is due to a bug that occurs in the second part of the quest, where you have to find the collar of a mutant dog. After killing the dogs in the Old Mill location and finding the first collar, you will be asked to find another one near Arch Anomaly called Bulba (for more information, you should visit our Stalker 2 guide).

The Bulba is a unique anomaly that ‘breathes’. It is a huge bubble that, when it takes a breath, pulls in everything in its path. When something alive gets very close to it, they will die, which means that you have to be careful and hide behind car wrecks. Meanwhile, when it exhales, you have about two seconds to move freely.

Your quest is to find the collar just near this anomaly. The problem is that while your scanner will start beeping and detect the mutant dog with its collar, by the “physics” of the anomaly itself, the dog will levitate in the air or lie in such a place that you cannot interact with it to pick up the quest item. Some reports that the dog is not even visible in that place…

Fortunately, the task can be completed. After some time (you can sleep to speed it up), the objective of the dead dog is invalidated and a new one appears to help Nightingtale. He will call you to say that he needs help. A new mission marker will appear on your map. There, as a result of certain events, you will acquire two more collars. Afterwards, you can go to the Hamster in Zalissya and tell him that you have collars for sale. Even though you will have three items in your inventory, the dialogue option shows that you can give him four and you will complete the quest. Even so, the Journal objective will not be ‘done’, but the mission will.

STALKER 2- Why you can’t sell collars to Hamster

Some people are also puzzled by the fact that they can’t sell collars to Hamster. The answer for that it simple – you can’t give him those items before helping Nightingale. The dialog option will not appear sooner. So, finish the mission to earn your reward.
