Stalker 2 was warmly received by players, but definitely not because of its technical state. At the beginning the game was quite buggy, it was even difficult to finish it without console codes. However, developers did not abandon the title and they have been fixing it ever since. Today we can enjoy the newest update. Let’s look at it.

Stalker 2 patch 1.1.4 patch notes

Developers from GSC Game World have shared with the community the newest patch notes for version 1.1.4 of the game. It seems that they have dedicated their time to fixing some technical issues. We can read on Steam that they have:

  1. Fixed crashes and freeze on shaders compilation
  2. Fixed memory leak occurred at Rostok location
  3. Fixed performance degradation when shooting/aiming on saves with long playtime
  4. Implemented fixes, that should solve the problem causing saves to be lost on Xbox
  5. Fixed a random crash related to UI animations.

Creators have added that the fight with shader compilation was extremely hard. If you still see bugs, don’t hesitate to send them a report.

Moreover, a post on the official Discord channel mentions that we can expect a major update soon. Sadly, we don’t know when exactly, but it sounds promising. The last major update introduced very interesting adjustments. So, it might be a reason to check out the game again in the future.
