During the mission In Search of Past Glory, the protagonist of STALKER 2 will hunt for technology that will help him protect himself from Faust's psionic abilities. How to get information from Professor Dvupalov?
The quest In Search of Past Glory will begin immediately after the end of the A Minor Incident mission. Head to the scientist's base in the Chemical Plants region.
Enter inside and press the red button on the wall. After a short conversation, the steel doors will open. Get inside.
Talk to Dvupalov. He will ask you to bring vodka. Go to the large room and pick up the alcohol lying next to the distiller. One bottle is enough for you, but if you want, you can take them all.
Go back to the professor who invited you for a drink together. During the conversation, don't refuse the next glasses. After the third round, Dvupalov agrees to help you.
Follow the professor to the mezzanine. When the scientist will be looking for the access card, a jumping artifact will appear one floor below. Get down and catch it. Then take it to Dvupalov.
The professor will allow you to keep the jumping artifact and confess that he gave the access card to the X5 laboratory to his assistant - Scherba. On the map, the mission marker will point his location.
How to enter X5 laboratory?
Head to the ruins of Agroprom. The entrance to the scientist's headquarters is located next to the rusty stairs, in the central part of the facility.
After a short conversation, Scherba will give you an access card. The entrance to the laboratory is located between four silos.
Go down the spiral stairs to the tunnel filled with poisonous anomalies.
On the way, you will encounter zombies and hordes of rats, so keep your weapon at the ready.
After passing through the tunnels, you will reach the steel doors leading to the main part of the laboratory.
Open the gate using the access card.
How to obtain blueprints and documents?
In the laboratory, a Controller will attack you through a hole in the wall. Don't shoot at him, because the mutant will disappear before you can reach him.
A Poltergeist is also roaming around the room.
Jump into the hole in the floor next to the breach in the wall (where the Controller stood). Then jump into the next hole under the floor.
Go down the spiral stairs. To the left of the steel door, you will find the generator switch. Use it.
Snorks will jump out of the opened door. Defeat the mutants and enter the corridor.
Turning right will take you to the doctor's office. Pick up the PDA on the desk.
Opposite the office, you will find a room with shelves. There, you will find the documents for Scherba. This will count as an optional objective.
How to get out of Agroprom?
Return up the spiral stairs to the room with the electrical anomalies. Move on to the next corridor.
In a large room, a Controller and a Pseudodog will attack you. While fighting the beasts, try not to lose sight of the "original." Fruitless fight against copies can quickly deplete your ammunition supplies.
Exit the room by neutralizing the anomaly with a bolt and jumping onto the collapsed column to the upper floor.
Strong psionic radiation will be present in this section of the laboratory. If you have blockers with you, it's worth taking them now.
Defeat the Controller that is lurking there. Next, take the Suppressor blueprint and the dictaphone from the control desk.
Use the ladder in the next room. Then enter the ventilation system.
The monoliths will attack you in the tunnels. In the next few rooms, there will be a lot of them, so prepare for plenty of shooting.
In the cylindrical room, go up the stairs, which will lead you to a long tunnel.
A few rooms further you will find a ladder that will lead you to the surface. Leave the Agroprom area.
How to install suppressor?
Return to Dvupalov's hideout. Talk to a couple of scientists who are there. Return the documents you found to Scherba.
Go to Rostok. There you will find Screw - a technician who can install the Suppressor in any suit or helmet for you. Once the modification is in place, the mission will come to an end.
