STALKER 2: To show or not to show the PDA?

At the end of the Garbage region thread in STALKER 2, you will face a choice - who to show the mysterious PDA found in the previous mission. On this page of the guide you will learn whether it is better to show the device to Korshunov and Dalin, who are associated with the Ward, or to share the knowledge with Scar and Spark. We also explain what will happen if you keep all the knowledge to yourself.
Show the PDA to Colonel Korshunov and Dalin?
During the mission Back on the Slag Heap, you will end up in a room with Doctor Dalin and Colonel Korshunov. During the conversation, you will be given the opportunity to show the mysterious PDA or hide information about the device.
- If you decide to show PDA, the men will recognize it as former property of the Monolith cult. The military man will then direct you to the Wild Island located southeast of the Garbage.
- As a reward for your help, you will also receive a special Ward badge, which in the future will facilitate your contacts with the Ward and allow you to shorten some storylines. Thanks to it, you will also be able to pass through the blockade on the Wild Island without doing an additional side mission.
- You will also receive the Combatant rifle. The weapon has quite good statistics, but it will need to be repaired by a technician before use.
- Working with the Ward will worsen your relations with Scar, Star, and Spark (but not yet hostile).
- If you keep the knowledge about the PDA to yourselves, the doctor and the military man will send you away empty-handed. You will not receive any reward.
- Lack of the Ward badge will mean that before entering the island, you will have to complete a side task - A Heavy Burden. You will receive it at the Sawmill.
The decision made during the interrogation is the first moment when you can start defining your factional affiliation. It is worth noting, however, that this particular decision does not affect the ending, nor does it ultimately bind you to any of the organizations! It rather heralds later, much more significant decisions.
Show the PDA to Scar?
Upon reaching the Sawmill in the later part of the mission, you will face another choice. You will be able to show Scar the PDA or hide information about the device again.
This decision, however, is of minimal importance. The only difference is who will give you A Heavy Burden side mission. If you show the PDA, it will be Scar. Otherwise, you will receive the task from one of his subordinates.
