How to save Professor Lodochka?
The mission Just Like the Good Old Days begins right after completing To the Last Drop of Blood. Message from Lodochka and the mission marker will direct you to Quiet's base - a trader living south of the Wild Island.
When arriving there, be ready to fight. In the main building you will encounter a group of aggressive mercenaries. Defeat them, then talk to the professor.
The professor will send you to the island to investigate the source of the signal. However, you can perform a side task beforehand, which will allow you to restart the ventilation system in the bunker.
Where to look for a fuse?
To repair the ventilation system, you will need to find a new fuse. It is located in the same building where you found the professor. Go down to the ground floor and look for the storage room - the one with shelves and a grated door.
The fuse is on the wooden crates, next to the safe.
How to activate the ventilation system?
Go to Wild Island and enter the base's main building.
In the main room you will be attacked by a Bloodsucker. Defeat the mutant.
Go through the Khors's workshop.
Climb onto the crates next to the pipes. In the next room, go through the round hole in the wall.
Install the fuse in the electrical box. You can exit the bunker by going through the door opposite the fuses and then turning right. You will reach the main corridor of the base.
How to deactivate the signal?
Go to the northern end of the island. You will find the entrance to the cave on the cliff by the water's edge.
Carefully move between the poisonous puddles in the cave. Then jump onto the pipes that will lead you to a rocky ledge.
On the rusty scaffolding you will find a sniper rifle and a supply of ammo. It's worth picking it up.
In one of the next rooms, you will come across a monolith altar connected to a transmitter. Take the emitter from the side of the device.
The emitter generates strong psionic radiation. If Skif is not dressed in any protective gear, he may start to hear voices, see apparitions, and gradually lose health.
Shoot the padlock. The tunnel will lead you back to the bunker.
In the southern base you will meet a group of mercenaries. Defeat them and then head to professor Lodochka's bunker.
After talking to the scientist, the mission will end.
