STALKER 2: Go to Cpt. Zotov or Gaffer? Important decision

Behind Seven Seals is an early quest in STALKER 2. Your task will be to gather information and locate a man named Solder. As your informant, you will be able to choose an elderly native nicknamed Gaffer or Captain Zotov. On this page of the guide, we explain the consequences of each choice.

Gaffer

1. The first option to obtain information about Solder is visiting Gaffer. The old man lives in a brick house on the eastern edge of the settlement. He is a rather friendly man.
2. At Gaffer's house you will also meet Richter, whom you had the opportunity to meet in the previous quest.
3. Gaffer and Richter will ask you to locate Squint (A Needle in a Hyastack quest). Once you have recovered the stolen ward sensors, go back to the men.

1. After the Lesser Zone storyline ends, Richter will direct you to the abandoned Detention Center in the Garbage region.
2. Using the help of Gaffer and Richter will make you contact the Spark faction in the quest Answers Come at a Price. Commander Star will send you on a mission to rescue his people from a factory occupied by the Ward.
3. Gaffer will generally be a better choice for players who are not interested in working with the oppressive Ward.

Cpt. Zotov

1. An alternative way to obtain information about the Solder is contacting Cpt. Zotov. He resides in the large building in the eastern part of Zalissya.
2. Zotov is the leader of the Ward in the Lesser Zone. His organization doesn't have a very good reputation among other stalkers.
3. The captain will also ask you to recover sensors. This task, however, may have a slightly different course.

1. At the end of the Lesser Zone storyline, Zotov will direct you to Colonel Korshunov, who resides at an outpost in the Garbage region.
2. In this version of the Answers Come at a Price quest, your task will be fighting the local bandits.
3. Talking to Zotov may be the first step in the thread where you work with the Ward.
