Stalker 2 is one of the most anticipated games of this year. We are 2 days after the release and we can see that the title is very popular even despite many technical issues. Let’s be honest, though, Skif’s adventure is full of problems, but it offers some fun gameplay. However, it is far from being ideal in this respect, too. For example, there are big controversies around A Life system. Many players would like to also see a longer day.

Many players don’t like day/night cycle in Stalker 2

You don’t need to look long to find various posts stating that day/night cycle is not balanced well in Stalker 2. More precisely, many people would like to see a longer day. It is also connected with dark aura of the game and not good enough flashlight. If we look at these 3 factors together, we have an image of a serious issue.

Developers are quite open to conversation with fans, especially on the Discord channel, so it was a matter of time when they will answer the question regarding longer day and revision of this feature. According to the comment, the day/night cycle length works as intended. So, does it mean that nothing will change? Not necessarily. There was a great number of reactions to the mentioned post, and they formed a clear message “Make It Long3r”.

Today, another stalker asked about the possibility of enhancing the flashlight due to problems with the game being too dark. The response from developers is quite promising:

We’re also receiving a lot of feedback on the complex issue of night visibility and the overall day/night cycle. Rest assured, we’re not ignoring these concerns. The team is aware of them.

In general, we’re actively discussing the aspects stalkers find unsatisfactory and exploring the best ways to improve your experience.

As you can see, we can expect some improvements in the future. Of course, nothing specific has been said, but it is a step in a good direction. Hopefully, we will see proper patches soon. Until then, there is a chance that modders will create something interesting.

Our team is preparing Stalker 2 Guide (we constantly add new information). There you can find FAQ, tips and Walkthrough. Moreover, we have created an interactive map with many markers (and we continue to add more).
