Moana 2 hits theaters on November 27, 2024. Not at all surprisingly, the surprise sequel to the blockbuster is popular in theaters, but audiences want to see it on more than just the big screen. Some of them are wondering when Moana 2 will come out on Disney+ so they can watch it at home for the first or any other time.

When will Moana 2 come out on Disney+?

Unfortunately, we have bad news for Moana fans. For now, Disney has not announced when the sequel will hit streaming. But based on other premieres on Disney+, we are able to estimate when, more or less, it might happen. Keep in mind, however, that these are only speculations, not specific dates that need to be confirmed.

Elemental

  • Theatrical release: June 16, 2023
  • Streaming release: September 12, 2023 (89 days after theatrical release)

Wish

  • Theatrical release: November 22, 2023
  • Streaming release: April 3, 2024 (134 days after theatrical release)

Inside Out 2

  • Theatrical release: June 14, 2024
  • Streaming release: September 25, 2024 (103 days after theatrical release)

This implies that Disney's animated films come to streaming approximately 100 days after theatrical release. This would mean that the premiere of Moana 2 on Disney+ could take place in early March 2025. Nowadays, that's not that far off, so it's not unlikely that Disney will soon announce when it plans to release Moana 2 on streaming.
